New TVCL24 Website

Author: Matthew Stevenson
Date: 04/05/2024

Introducing TVCL24, our new Play Cricket compatible website. We will use Play Cricket for fixtures, results, scorecards and league tables. However, alongside it, and like other leagues who use PC, we will be using a separate website for management reporting and a more elegant presentation of fixtures, results and league tables using the PC API interface.

The new website has been developed for us by Worcestershire Web Design, who have developed similar websites for the Worcestershire County Cricket League (which is similar in size to the TVCL) and the Birmingham & District Premier League, for reporting.

This will henceforth be called TVCL24 and the URL is https://tvlcricket.uk/. There will be more emails and guides on this in the next few days – please watch this space! However, in brief, all secretaries, captains and umpires will need to create online accounts on this website (email address and password) and it will be used to submit the Captain Match Report Form and the Umpire Match Report Form.

The former has the capability to do umpire assessment on the same form, and we might consider using that in 2025 to streamline/reduce post-match admin for captains –please watch this space on that one!

The ARR calculator

You will be aware that clubs voted to keep the ARR in Divisions 3 and below for the 2024 season. This will be found on our new PC compatible website as well. Please watch this space for details.
