League Amalgamation

Member clubs recently approved the league amalgamation proposal to invite and integrate clubs from the Berkshire Cricket League and the Chilterns Cricket League, plus three clubs from Mid-Bucks League clubs, into the TVCL competition for 2025.
The Berkshire and Chilterns Leagues held SGM meetings in which they voted to dissolve their competitions so we are now proceeding with the amalgamation. As indicated we have now published the one-off promotion and relegation rules for the 2024 season ahead of the new season commencing.
Further to the Amalgamation proposal passing, it came to our attention that a couple of clubs had joined the BCL, but had not been part of original club scope / inspection process. Due to this they were not subject to a Grading & Standards review, so they were excluded from the proposal. The TVCL not having been aware of their BCL participation previously, will now proceed to grade and visit them before the end of May. It is therefore possible, though not certain, that the Management Committee may call an SGM should it wish to recommend for any other clubs to be eligible to join the TVCL for 2025.
To note, any such proposal will not have any impact on the Promotion/Relegation 2024 structure issued recently, as Established in 1972 the Morrant Thames Valley Cricket League is an important component of the ECB Premier League structure and these clubs are already part of those BCL Divisions being integrated.
